MISSION UPDATES

Lone Star Memorial Plaque

image16

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!  Wednesday 11/28/18 will mark the one year Angelversary for 31-year Army Veteran, SFC Curtis Sanford.  At the request of our close friend Charlie George, who provided the copy, Honored Warriors Ranch engraved and donated this plaque that we mounted on the new flagpole at Lone Star Military Resource Group in Jacksonville, TX.  Curtis Sanford's wife, Julianne, is the director of this noble establishment and Charlie works there as well.  Julianne, we remain so sorry for your loss and we greatly appreciate this opportunity to honor your husband.  A huge thank you to Brad and Linda Hayes for machining the backing plate and for teaming up with us to mount the plaque.  Much love all around...

Memorial Day 2019 Gold Star Family Retreat

image17

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!  117 Gold Star Family members traveled on two buses from DFW Airport to their 5-day "America's Mighty Warriors Retreat" at Allaso Ranch in Hawkins, TX.  Honored Warriors Ranch donated 70 Honor Tags to the Gold Star Children and were there to hand them out to each wonderful child.  We love our Gold Star Families!

UPDATE:  We were contacted by an individual who found one of these "Honor Tags" at a campsite in Arizona.  (The retreat was in Texas.)  I told her to keep the tag because there was no way to know which child lost it and that, hopefully, they'd contact us because every tag had our business card with it and the foundation can contact us as well.  We'd love to replace the tag for this child and we told the woman to keep the tag she found as a keepsake.  Her response was, "Thank you and God bless all our soldiers!  My father, God rest his soul, was in the Navy.  I miss him every day and maybe this was a sign from him on Father's Day that he misses me too."

Lancer Legacy Ranch

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! - Matt Fisk is a big man, in stature, in commitment to our Country, and in dedication to the cause of helping homeless Veterans.  Matt, a 16-year Army Veteran, has waged war against his own PTSD and is winning.  He is the founder and director of LancerLegacyRanch.org, a 24,000 square foot homeless Veteran shelter that has been open since November of 2017 in Maud, TX.  The ranch can accommodate 24 male homeless Veterans with their own efficiency apartments and there are rooms available.  The facility has a large, common, commercial kitchen, indoor and outdoor recreation and meeting areas, a large shop, and now the beginnings of a gym.  On Saturday 10/13, Honored Warriors Ranch delivered and installed $12,000 of brand new, commercial fitness equipment to Lancer Legacy Ranch.  Precor Incorporated donated a brand new Precor TRM731 commercial treadmill.  Eleiko donated an adjustable weight bench, a vertical rack, weight rack, Olympic weight bar and 355# of bumper weight plates.  The delivery required a 250 mile trip which was accomplished in nearly-continuous, driving rain.  Many vehicles ran off the road, including a semi tractor trailer, but they made it there and back safely.  A HUGE THANK YOU to our team!
